Well our second anniversary(Sept 5th) is coming up and we are planning a trip out west!
We are going to fly to San Francisco, rent a car and drive the coast north! It is going to be great! Smoked fish, sour dough bread & wine on the beach for days!
We are still working out the details, like where we want to stop and what city are we going to fly home from.
Look for pictures!

Our First Anniversary – September 5th 2009
Chicago – Oak Park – Home and Studio of Frank Lloyd Wright
We took the Amtrak train to Chicago last weekend and had a wonderful time! There is so much to see and do there! The amount of walking we did was crazy!
Not only did we walk but we road the metro train and took a few cabs.
Getting to Oak Park was a challenge. The cab drivers had no idea where it was! We made it to Oak Park an hour later and $30 dollars lighter! But it was worth it! We visited Frank Lloyd Wrights first home and studio. Taking the tours and walking the streets were he walked and lived was awesome. We walked down the street from his house about 7 blocks to Mamah Cheney’s house. (The married woman he ran of to Europe with). Great trip to Oak Park!
Of course we had great Chicago style Pizza! Three times!
YUM!
Another one of our favs was the tea house (TeaGschwendner House). I am very excited to try all of the new teas we brought home!
I had to see the Bean! (or Cloud Gate it’s true name). It is awesome! When you look for your reflection, it is like playing a game of where is Waldo!
We love Chicago! I am already planning our next trip!

The WEDDING DATE is September 5th 2008 here in Defiance, OH. At St. John’s Catholic Church at 6pm. We are very excited!
We had our engagement pictures! They are going to be great! We can not wait to share them with all of you!
We are enjoying life together and having fun traveling and cycling and working on our house.
~~~~~~We have our TANDEM! Wow is it fun! Over the 4th of July weekend we put over 100 miles on it! We are planning future trips! I do not have any pictures of it yet but they are coming…
Traveling is something we both really love to do. This past May we went on a road trip to Kentcky to visit family and do some genealogy. Doug got to meet my Kentcky family. We were taken care of Kentckystyle, with a family get together and great food. This coming February we will return to Puerta Vallarta! We were planning a couple other trips this year, however, with getting married and going on a honeymoon that changed those plans. We have a few short trips in mind, like going back to Cleveland for another cooking class and taking the train to Chicago for the weekend.
So watch this site for our fun and exciting updates!!
