We had a great time on our little road trip! We started out by driving to PA to visit my cousin Nedra and her husband Rob. It was the beginning of a great action packed trip!

Once at Nedra’s we met her son Chad and his girl friend followed by a trip to Pittsburg for a football game!

After taking in the game from our wonderful suite, we went sight seeing from the top of Mount Washington. We rode the Incline to the top for a fabulous  view of the city.

My cousin and I spend a whole day just going through old, old, old family pictures! It was a great way to spend the day.

Our next stop was at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater…wonderful! The weather was good and the tour was great. But still had more of Frank’s work to see! So we were off to Kentuck Knob a house about 6 miles down the road from Fallingwater. The house was cool but the art work in the meadow was outrageous! What a blast we had in the meadow!

Our trip did not stop there. We left Kentuck Knob for Muncy, PA…a 4 hour drive! Doug needed to visit Grizzly.

Grizzly is a huge store. It is a woodworker’s dream! There were tools as far as the eye could see. I don’t have to tell you that I did not stay. I dropped him at the door with his credit card and I went to the mall!!

On our way home we took a detour through Cleveland to have dinner with Newfie friends. We shared a ton of laughs and a good meal!

What a wonderful Road Trip!! Enjoy the pictures!

We took the Amtrak train to Chicago last weekend and had a wonderful time! There is so much to see and do there! The amount of walking we did was crazy!

Not only did we walk but we road the metro train and took a few cabs.

Getting to Oak Park was a challenge. The cab drivers had no idea where it was! We made it to Oak Park an hour later and $30 dollars lighter! But it was worth it! We visited Frank Lloyd Wrights first home and studio. Taking the tours and walking the streets were he walked and lived was awesome.  We walked down the street from his house about 7 blocks to Mamah Cheney’s house. (The married woman he ran of to Europe with). Great trip to Oak Park!

Of course we had great Chicago style Pizza! Three times! :) YUM!

Another one of our favs was the tea house (TeaGschwendner House). I am very excited to try all of the new teas we brought home!

I had to see the Bean! (or Cloud Gate it’s true name). It is awesome! When you look for your reflection, it is like playing a game of where is Waldo!

We love Chicago! I am already planning our next trip!

What a mess we had at our house! We had to replace our sewer line last week and wow did it make a BIG mess in the yard.

A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon in Ohio is a drive in the country. As many of you know I love to do Genealogy research and I have started to work on my husbands family history.

With Doug being from this area a drive in the country can provide hours of research and discovery!

Well I have picked up the camera and dusted it off! I am working on building my portfolio.

I am also building a website for a photography business. Stay tuned for that! In the mean time I have started a blog. http://furpeoplephotography.wordpress.com/

This past weekend we went camping at Maumee Bay State Park in Ohio.

Doug is now an offical camper. He has two camping weekends under his belt. He has camped in some rain, tried to build a campfire with wet wood, kayaked in two lakes and lived through a Mayfly hatching!
